Laticrete Grout Right Consistency For Sanded Grout?

Right consistency for sanded grout? - laticrete grout

I am tiling my kitchen counter and saw the sand bed should have the consistency of mashed potatoes .... Too much consistency of mashed potatoes, so I feel good! We've done it once before and ended very sandy and does not stain at all well, and it seems too thick. I mortar sand with Laticrete Admix right size for the pocket ... I just wanted to make sure I know it's the right consistency when channel surfing. The instructions on the package is no help at all, since all the photos and not actual addresses. Any help is welcome. Thanks in advance!
